The Wick – the Soul of the Candle
The composition and right choice of the wick is essential for the clean and proper burning of candles since these two components form a unit. Eika leaves nothing to chance here and has its own wick factory in Fulda.
The wicks are braided in a plait pattern from a fibre, preferably cotton. After that they are finished, i.e. cleaned, primed and, if necessary, bleached.
You can differentiate between flat wicks and round wicks, which are used depending on the raw material and production technique.
